• Vineland Rotary Announces Availability of 14 Scholarships for 2026


    Vineland Rotary is pleased to announce that 14 Rotary scholarships are currently available for the 2026 cycle. The deadline for completed applications, including two (2) recommendation forms, is February 28, 2026.

    All applications and recommendation forms as well as any inquiries must be submitted via email to: VinelandRotaryScholarships@gmail.com. All application and recommendation files should be saved using the student’s Last Name, First Name, exactly as listed on the forms.

    The list of scholarships are: 

     
    • THE EDWARD L. BERNHARDT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP $1,000
      The Edward L. Bernhardt is a $1,000 scholarship for a CCTEC Interact member that meets the following criteria: This scholarship is not restricted to college or university training, but shall also include training or schooling in non-academic fields or endeavors. Awards are made payable to the recipient and/or the educational provider. Applicants must meet the following criteria: • Must be a United States citizen. • Must be a high school graduate. • Must be a CC-TEC student in good standing. • Must be a CC-TEC interact member. • Must demonstrate positive character. • Must demonstrate intelligence standards. • Must demonstrate scholastic ability. Applicants shall demonstrate, by high school performance, the potential for successful college/Trade school work. Scholastic standing, while important, shall be one of several factors to be considered. Applicants must have high ideals and have demonstrated integrity, purposefulness, initiative and sense of social responsibility. Employment experience will also be considered.
     
    • REVEREND C. ROSS COLLINS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($1,500)
      For a student majoring in any subject. This scholarship is open to students that are “Vineland residents” and/or students graduating from any high school, public or private, in the Vineland area.
     
    •  HARRY D. DOERR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
      This scholarship is not restricted to college or university training, but shall also include training or schooling in non-academic fields or endeavors. Applicants and awardees may apply for additional one-year awards. Awards are made payable to the recipient and the educational provider. Doerr scholarships vary in amount, but are not usually less than $1,000.
      Applicants must meet the following criteria:
      • Must be a United States citizen.
      • Must be a high school graduate.
      • Must be a Vineland resident.
      • Must demonstrate positive character.
      • Must demonstrate financial need.
      • Must demonstrate intelligence standards.
      • Must demonstrate scholastic ability.

    •  ELIZABETH “BETTY” DONDERO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000)
      To any student attending Rowan College South Jersey and enrolled in the nursing program. The student can be a high school graduate just entering the college or a student at any level already in the program.

    •  EDWARD F. DUFFY, M.C.J. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000)
      For a second year Rowan College of South Jersey student who plans to pursue a career in Law or Para-Legal studies and must maintains a 2.7 GPA or higher.
      The Vineland Rotary Club established the Edward F. Duffy Memorial Scholarship to honor the memory of respected attorney, municipal court judge and long time Rotarian, Edward F. Duffy. His family and friends will continue to fund it in his honor. During his legal career he served as a municipal solicitor, municipal prosecutor, mediator, arbitrator, labor negotiator and court appointed guardian. His appointments as a Municipal Court Judge and Central Judicial Prosecuting Judge for Cumberland County were the culmination of his distinguished career and life in the law. Ed was an adjunct faculty member in the 1980’s at Cumberland County College teaching Paralegal Studies. He also served on the District Ethics Committee (Supreme Court of NJ), and was a member of the Cumberland County Bar Association, serving one year as president. His dedication to community service was truly exemplary. A Rotarian since 1991, Ed believed in and lived by the Club’s motto “service above self”. He was the only Rotarian in the Club’s 100 year history to have served as President three times. His other community involvement included his active and enthusiastic voluntary service to the Vineland Regional Dance Company, Habitat for Humanity, and Boy Scout Troop 36. The Edward F. Duffy Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to a second year Rowan College South Jersey student, who plans to pursue a career in Law or Para-Legal studies and must maintain a 2.7 GPA or higher.
     
    •  WILLIAM F. DUDLEY, SR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($1,500)
      For a Vineland High School graduate who is college bound, majoring in any subject.
     
    • GE MECHANICAL, LLC. WORKFORCE ADVANCEMENT SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000) 
             GE Mechanical, LLC. Workforce Advancement Scholarship ($1,000) Awarded to any high school graduate of Vineland Area schools, public or private, or Cumberland County Technical Education Center seeking higher                                       education either at a two-year or four-year college majoring in mechanical engineering or attending a technical education school or two-year college for training in either plumbing or HVAC/R.
     
    •  HARRY KEJZMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000)
      For high school graduates seeking higher education at Rowan College South Jersey or a student enrolled at Rowan College South Jersey . For college bound students majoring in any subject. This scholarship must be used for further studies at Rowan College South Jersey only.
     
    •  LESLIE N. KOTOK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($1,500)
      For college bound students majoring in any subject. This scholarship is open to students that are “Vineland residents” and/or students graduating from any high school, public or private, in the Vineland area.
     
    •  SHAYE KOTOK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($1,500)
      For college bound students majoring in mathematics or science. This scholarship is open to students that are “Vineland residents” and/or students graduating from any high school, public or private, in the Vineland area.
     
    •  ROWAN COLLEGE SOUTH JERSEY UNIVERSITY CENTER SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000)
      A Rowan College South Jersey graduate proceeding on to the University Center and registered in a program with one of the partner schools.
     
    •  OTTO SCHWABE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($1,500)
      For a Vineland High School graduate who is college bound student majoring in science or a related field.
     
    •  SPIRIT OF ROTARY SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000)
      For a student who is enrolled in the nursing program at Rowan College South Jersey .

    • VINELAND ROTARY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP “TRIBUTE TO DECEASED ROTARIANS” ($1,000)
      All students/adults of the Vineland and Millville area who have a GED or high school diploma that are furthering their education by attending college, trade, or technical school, and will be completing a program in June from Cumberland County Technical Education Center.
