• Cumberland County Launches An Internship Program For College Students

The Cumberland County Commissioners announce the launch of the Cumberland County Internship Program. This program is designed to provide college students with opportunities to work and gain practical, hands-on experience that will help propel them into their professional careers while meeting their educational goals. Students will have the opportunity to be integrated into a County Government Department or Division to learn new techniques, skills, enhance existing knowledge and abilities while exploring the possible career paths that are available right here in Cumberland County, New Jersey.

“Involving interns in the County is a win-win situation,” says Douglas Albrecht, Cumberland County Commissioner Director. “We would provide opportunities for individuals to experience the County by exposing them to professionals in their field. Hopefully this will result in bringing opportunities back to the County and creating incentives for them to live and work in the County.”

Features and benefits of the Cumberland County Internship Program include:

    • Opportunities for College students to meet their course requirements by earning credits.
    • Students will gain practical work experience in County Government.
    • Applications are received year-round with no application deadlines.
