Salary Range: $54,190 to $67,173
Employment Classification: Exempt
Purpose:
The Membership Development Specialist oversees membership development activities that drive brand awareness and membership growth in the communities to which BAFCU serves. The Membership Development Specialist creates connections, generates opportunity, and maintains community and SEG partner relationships.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Creates and implements an annual “living” outreach plan to expand credit union membership, that coexists with BAFCU’s mission.
- Maintains an up-to-date contact list of all SEG Ambassadors/Partners, regularly performing outreach to keep BAFCU at top of mind.
- Coordinates with SEGs to establish presence during benefits fairs, new employee orientations, and other organized events.
- Performs outreach to prospective SEG opportunities within the BAFCU footprint, promoting the credit union mission and BAFCU products and services.
- Completes new SEG on-boarding process.
- Represents BAFCU at events and conferences as applicable, while serving as the liaison between BAFCU and the hosting organization.
- Attends and represents BAFCU in the community while promoting financial wellness seminars, financial education, and other outreach activities as applicable.
- Promotes credit union products and services amongst SEG partners and within the communities we serve, to drive new membership, loan growth, and deposit acquisition.
- Collaborates with Marketing team to promote BAFCU and the highlights of SEG engagement.
- Tracks outreach activities and inquiries in designated reporting tools to document SEG penetration.
- Completes and files reports as applicable for SEG development to Management and Board of Directors as applicable.
- Manages and maintains an assigned budget that is utilized to ensure membership growth.
- Manages and trains all aspects of business development activities for applicable staff when assisting or assigned to events.
- Completes required web-based and in-person trainings as designated.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:- Embraces and fulfills the BAFCU mission of empowering our members with quality financial solutions while providing exceptional, friendly service.
- May need to lift or carry up to 50lbs.
- Availability upon the needs of the business community; including nights and weekends
- Assist in any related duties and assignments as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Maintains High School diploma or equivalent
- Three or more years' experience in customer service
- Three or more years' experience in business development or community development
