Stockton University - Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration / 11-1-25

This is a North to Shore official selection event, sponsored by Prudential and produced by NJPAC. You are invited to a free, immersive celebration of Mexican heritage, vibrant artistry and heartfelt remembrance. Stroll through a wonderland of color, music and tradition as loved ones are honored with joy, creativity and community spirit.

This celebration will feature live performances and music.  Be swept away by the rhythms of traditional and contemporary performances, from folkloric dance to soulful live music that fills the air with celebration. There will be a Community Altar Contest. Witness breathtaking ofrendas (altars) created by local artists and community members, each telling a unique story of remembrance. Enjoy a Catrina & Catrín Competition.  Dress in your most stunning calavera-inspired attire and compete for prizes.  Whether elegant, elaborate, or eerily creative — show off your style.

Stroll through an Artisan Market and enjoy hands-on activities.  Browse handmade crafts, jewelry, and traditional wares from local vendors, or roll up your sleeves for interactive art workshops the whole family can enjoy. Savor delicious bites and drinks inspired by the flavors of the season — perfect for fueling an  evening of exploration. There will be face painting and photo ops. Transform into a sugar skull masterpiece with dazzling face painting, then capture the moment at the festive photo installations.

Dia de los Muertos is presented in partnership with local Atlantic City Hispanic organizations El Pueblo Unido of Atlantic City and Organización Azteca, This is a night of art, remembrance and community joy you won’t want to miss!
