3. RINGING IN SPRING 4th Saturday Klock-Walk, New Member Orientation, Campfire and Potluck
We will be ringing in spring with a day full of free outdoor activities on Saturday, April 27th. It will all begin with a 4th Saturday Walk at Waltman Park led by Tony Klock, who is a long-standing member of CU Maurice River's World Series of Birding Team, the Fish Hawks. We hope to see migrating warblers as well as other points of natural interest along the Maurice River Bicycle and Walking Trail. To join us meet at 9:00 a.m. in Waltman Park off North Brandriff Avenue in Millville. If you would like, you can join Tony for a packed lunch at Glasstown Brewing Company after the walk. Please sign up below.
Then in the evening new members are invited to a Meet & Greet at 5:00 p.m. which will be followed by a Campfire & Potluck for everyone at the Russells’ home at 6:30 p.m.. This is one of our most popular sites for a campfire, and a super location to see the Maurice River across from the iconic Burcham Farm. Tim and Mary Ann Russell’s hospitality is a fantastic component to this enjoyable evening. Once you have signed up, one of CUMR's staff will send you the directions to the Russells' home.
