Citizens United To Protect The Maurice River - What It's Like To Be A Bug: Butterflies / 4-28-26

Join CU Maurice River for a fun and informative session exploring the world of butterflies with CU Naturalist Karen Williams and Membership and Special Events Coordinator Cyndie Hornblower. This engaging presentation will introduce what makes butterflies such unique and important pollinators, from their fascinating life cycles and behaviors to the critical ecological roles they play in healthy ecosystems. Participants will also learn about several common New Jersey native butterfly species and the specific plants they rely on for food, shelter, and reproduction.
After the presentation, stay for a Make-N-Take workshop where you will propagate native seeds. Native plants play a vital role in supporting wildlife by providing essential food and habitat for butterflies, bees, birds, and other pollinators.
Participants may wish to bring note-taking supplies.
