Citizens United to Protect The Maurice River - Campfire & Potluck: Reflections of a Bayshore Painter / 6-27-26

Get ready for an evening of art, storytelling, and connection at a special screening of Reflections of a Bayshore Painter, an Emmy Award–winning documentary that brings the life and work of artist Glen Rudderow into vivid focus. Through rich visuals and thoughtful storytelling, this intimate film explores the landscapes, inspirations, and quiet moments that shaped Rudderow’s paintings along the Bayshore, while reflecting on deeper themes of place, memory, and time.
Co-produced by CU Maurice River’s Jane Morton Galetto, the documentary has earned an Emmy Award for its compelling portrayal of both the artist’s creative process and the enduring beauty of the natural world that inspired him.
Come beforehand for a potluck gathering—bring a dish to share—then settle in for the screening beside a glowing campfire that will accompany the presentation. It’s a relaxed and welcoming way to experience this moving film while enjoying good food and community. Join CU Maurice River for this memorable evening of art, reflection, and togetherness.
This event will take place rain or shine. Please be sure to dress for the weather, and don’t forget to bring a camp chair, bug spray, and your potluck item to share.
