Rowan College of South Jersey has found that first-generation students thrive when they learn in a supportive environment of peers, faculty and staff who understand their backgrounds and challenges.
The process of becoming the first in their family to attend college may seem daunting to some. Students and families can get the help and support they need by attending the First-Generation College Student info session, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22 in the Luciano Conference Center, 3322 College Drive, on the Cumberland campus.
Middle and high school students and their families are encouraged to attend. Admission is free.
Students and their families will progress through multiple information sessions, each covering college programs and services including:
