Elf – the Musical
Book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin
Music by Matthew Sklar
Lyrics by Chad Beguelin
Based upon the New Line Cinema film written by David Berenbaum
Elf the Musical, based on the 2003 New Line Cinema hit starring Will Ferrell, is the charming tale of Buddy, a young orphan who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. Buddy is elf-raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, he embarks on a journey to New York City with dreams to find his birth father and discover his true identity. What’s an adopted elf to do when he realizes his father is on Santa’s ‘naughty’ list and his half-brother doesn’t believe that there is a Santa Claus? It’s up to Buddy to save Christmas! Find your inner ELF as the writers of Annie and The Wedding Singer bring us the unforgettable gift of a Broadway musical for the holiday season! After all, the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear.
ELF – THE MUSICAL is presented through special arrangements with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.MTIShows.com
