Join CU Maurice River for its final Tuesday on The Fly (this time, on a Monday) of the year at the Seabrook Educational and Cultural Center. This tour wraps up CU Maurice River's agricultural-themed outings, inviting you to explore the rich tapestry of stories from relocated Japanese Americans and Japanese Peruvians, wartime refugees from Europe and migrant laborers from Appalachia, the Deep South and the Caribbean.
Discover how Seabrook became an authentic "global bootstrap village," where diverse cultures thrived together, celebrating their heritage. Learn about Seabrook Farm, once dubbed the "largest vegetable factory on Earth" by Life Magazine in 1955, and its visionary founder, Charles F. Seabrook, know as the Henry Ford of Agriculture
This tour will take place indoors. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.
