Rain Barrel Workshop - CU Maurice River - May 8, 2019
Make it and take it!
RAIN BARREL WORKSHOP
RSVP required.Join us for CU Maurice River's next membership meeting on Wednesday, May 8th at 6:30 p.m. in Cumberland County College's George Luciano Conference Center. At the meeting's conclusion (7:00 p.m.) participate in a make-n-take rain barrel workshop. This is the third and final stewardship-themed workshop of the 2019 series, which was designed to help people wanting to make a difference in watershed health and move towards becoming a CU Maurice River stream-friendly, wildlife-friendly, or Eco-Leader designee.
This workshop will be led by American Littoral Society's Delaware Bayshore Program Director Emma Melvin. She is working with the local office team on conservation and restoration projects throughout the southern New Jersey target areas. Her understanding of watershed and environmental issues in our region makes her a great choice to discuss conserving water and how you can start reusing this resource by installing a rain barrel. There will be a modest fee of $10.00 to be paid at the door for those who wish to create and take home a rain barrel. Materials are limited and RSVPs are required. Click the button below to sign up. Be sure to make space in your car for carting your barrel home afterwards. Thus far, all previous participants have had auto models that have accommodated them, but we recommend leaving the real mini vehicles at home! WHAT
