CU Maurice River - A Birding Caravan - October 20, 2018
2. A BIRDING CARAVAN- Clay & Pat Sutton lead an outing on the Lower Maurice and Bayshore Secondly, we invite you to join us for an outing to various sites along the southern-most reaches of the Maurice River as well as the Delaware Bayshore. This caravan will be led by Clay and Pat Sutton, the husband and wife team of naturalists. The trip will complement Clay’s presentation at the Winfield’s CU Social. Visit some of the hotspots detailed in his studies, learn about the status and trends of our birds, and enjoy watching the many raptors that use the Maurice River during the fall migration.
Plan to have fun and learn at the same time! The husband and wife team of naturalists Pat and Clay Sutton. BE PREPARED... We ask that you come ready to be either a driver or a passenger. It will be necessary to limit the number of cars in the caravan in order to reduce the time spent loading, unloading, parking, etc. Come dressed in weather-appropriate attire. Also, please bring sunscreen, water, a hat, and insect repellent for your comfort and safety. In case the weather favors biting insects, wear or bring along clothes that will help deter them (ex. light-weight long-sleeved shirt and pants). A camera, binoculars, and a notebook will help you to better experience and record what we find. Once all the particulars are set in stone, we will send out an email with the finalized route and a list of any other items you may need to bring along.
