- Generation Gap: Closing the Generation Gap in the Workplace (Monday and Tuesday\, July 16 and 17 from 1:30&ndash\;5:30 p.m.) \n
- Hiring for Success: Behavioral Interviewing Techniques (Wednesday and Thursday\, July 18 and 19 from 1:30&ndash\;5:30 p.m.) \n

\n\nMicrosoft Excel 2016 II (Part 1)
\n\nExcel 2016 Level 2 builds on the basic concepts and skills of Excel to provide more advanced tools for analysis and presentation of complex\, realistic data in Microsoft Excel 2016: how to manage complex workbooks\, build more complex functions\, use data analysis tools\, make an impact with powerful chart and presentation features\, and collaborate with other users. The course assumes students know how to use a computer\, that they'\;re familiar with Microsoft Windows\, and that they'\;ve taken the Level 1 course or have equivalent introductory experience with Excel.** Participants must complete both Excel II Part 1 and Part 2 to receive a certificate of completion.
\n\n1:30&ndash\;5:30 p.m.
\n\nGeneration Gap: Closing the Gap in the Workplace (Part 1)
\n\nThere are currently five generations in the workforce. Only a few short years ago employers who were expecting to be faced with mass retirements are now looking at accommodating workers who cannot afford to retire\, or are simply healthy and happy enough they&rsquo\;d like to stay at work. However\, the labor force continues to put in hard work and lots of strategy to find the right people to fill vacancies and to be able to serve their customers. This course examines the history and reality of the generation gap\, especially for recruiters and succession planning. In it\, we will explore whether defining the actual limits of each generation is most important\, or whether the merits of people within the context of employment is the bigger issue. After all\, understanding others helps us to understand ourselves and to manage the people that we work with. We will also explore problems\, solutions\, and strategies to help overcome issues of the generation gap.
\n\nWho Can Attend?
\n\nIndividuals are eligible to participate in the Business Institute if they are:

- Employed by a NJ Employer \n
- A NJ Resident \n
- 18 years or older \n
Certificates of Completion from Cumberland County College will be awarded to individuals who complete each course.
\n\nTuition: No Cost!
\n\nTuition is funded by NJLWD grants.
